Baguio's transport is built around jeepneys and taxis, with the occasional UV Express van for longer hops. Jeepneys are the cheap backbone, flag one along Session Road or the central market, hop off anywhere by tapping the roof and shouting "para." They're fraction-of-a-taxi cheap but can be cramped and slow when loaded with students and market hauls. Taxis are the comfort option: plentiful downtown, metered, and still moderate compared to Manila rates. Grab works too, though supply thins after 10 p.m. If you're hauling luggage or traveling in a group, splitting a cab is usually the smarter spend. First-timers: Baguio's hills mean walking distances feel longer than they look. Download the Google Maps offline layer, cell signal drops in the mountain folds, and note that jeepney signs list barangay names, not tourist spots. Ask the driver "dito ba sa …" before boarding. Avoid unmarked "colorum" vans offering "city tours" at the bus terminal. They overcharge and waste time at souvenir stops. For the airport run, there's no direct commercial flight to Baguio. Most visitors land at Clark or Manila and switch to a north-bound bus.
